My take on Waldorf Salad

A lot of people know this American classic. I decided to put a little twist o it.
Here is the recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 3 red skin apples, obviously not peeled, chopped (about 200 grams or 7 oz)
  • chopped celery root, about the same amount as the apples(200 grams)
  • half a cup of walnuts, chopped
  • grapes or raisins
  • 3 table spoons of mayonnaise
  • half of table spoon of proper mustard or 1 table spoon of sweet mustard
  • a teaspoon of aceto balsamico (aka balsamic vinegar)
  • lemon juice
  • salt
  • pepper
Directions:
  1. Chop the apples and celery root into long thin strips or use a special grater. The amount of the end material should be roughly the same size.
  2. Combine the apple and celery strips in a bowl, and sprinkle with pepper.
  3. In another bowl mix the mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar and mustard.
  4. Add salt and pepper to the dressing.
  5. Mix the dressing into the apples and celery.
  6. Sprinkle with lemon juice (optional)
  7. Add salt and pepper to the finished mix, if needed.
  8. Serve with sprinkled walnuts and grapes or raisins, decorate with additional mayonnaise
